Imagine a world of swords and sorcery, of great kings and vicious tyrants, their armies clashing on the battlefield, blades clanging and storms of arrows flying. Imagine epic heroes facing down a fire-breathing dragon in the ruin of an ancient castle. Imagine a world filled with mystery, wonder, and magic, with an adventure waiting around every turn.
Dungeons & Destiny isn’t too different from that world. You just need to reload your sword.
HOW TO PLAY
D&Destiny is a free re-imagining of 5th edition to fit the Destiny setting. You’ll have different races to choose from, different classes to play as, and some new mechanics to learn, but you’re still playing 5th edition. This means you’ll need everything you would normally need to play a 5e game: a set of dice, character sheets, some people to act as players, and someone to act as a GM.
You’ll also need to read up on the 5th edition core rules, as D&Destiny builds on top of those rules.

Join the Campaign
Want to play D&Destiny, but don’t have a group to play with? Come join the New Light campaign through our Discord! New Light is a D&Destiny MMO-style campaign (aka a “West Marches” campaign). This means we’ve got dozens of players all existing in the same universe, but they’re off in their own corners, completing their own quests and affecting the universe their own way. Something one player does can drastically changed what other players experience, even if they’ve never met before!

ARCHITECT’S GUIDE
If you’re a D&Destiny GM, your official title is Architect, master of the universe and all that your players will encounter. This book contains invaluable tools and information to help you achieve the campaign of your dreams. It should be read by all Architects. Players should only read portions as directed by their Architect.
A whole chapter dedicated to a condensed version of Destiny’s lore, to use or forget at your desire.
Mechanics for alien weaponry your fireteam may pick up and keep.
Tons of campaign helper mechanics, such as rules for how to start a campaign at higher levels, how to run a few of Destiny’s public events, or what steps a person may have to go through in order to make a Thorn.

BESTIARY OF THE WILDS
Players, look away! This document is for your Architect’s eyes only, as it contains all the rules and mechanics for running monsters.
Nearly 200 monsters from across the Destiny universe are present and accounted for. The Bestiary of the Wilds covers 5 factions: Eliksni, Hive, Vex, Cabal, and the Taken.
Also contains new, never-before-seen monsters such as the Fallen jumper, the Hive goreseeker, and the Cabal venatrix.

ORIGIN
Originally a homebrew of Star Wars: Edge of the Empire, the project metamorphosed into its current form due to one simple wish: Kitty wanted a pet war beast in her regular 5e game.
That was it. That was the entire scope of Dungeons & Destiny at its original conception. But Kitty didn't want to simply reskin a wolf and call it a day. She wanted a creature that was a proper war beast, with attacks and abilities that differentiated it from the average dog-like creature.
The project started to snowball from there. After all, why stop at a war beast? Why not make Eliksni and Hive and Cabal monsters and races to play as? Why not make new classes for Guardians?
Less than three months later, Kitty was working on a project that involved over a hundred people, and had become a near complete reimagining of 5e to fit the Destiny setting.
And yes, she got her pet war beast.
