San Andreas State Police - Patrol Checklist (2024)

This page is to define standard procedures for basic day to day functions of all officers employed with San Andreas State Police. Information is updated semi-regularly to keep up with the dynamic environment of the department.

Starting Your Shift

  1. Go On Duty at the clock in desk at Davis PD

  2. Clock in on the Timeclock System

  3. Equip the proper uniform for your rank

  4. Go to Armory/Locker to pick up weapons/equipment (do not pull anything out that is use-locked above your rank)

  5. Retrieve your vehicle from the Police Garage

  6. Setup the Radar unit in your car

  7. Turn on your Radio and join the proper channel

  8. Call yourself 10-41 10-8

Selecting Your Uniform

When selecting a uniform to wear, please follow the proper guidelines for your rank as shown below. All uniforms should bear the correct badge/patch for our department along with the verbiage of any text on equipment.

  • Cadet - Officer II - Must select from provided patrol uniforms available in locker room

  • Sergeant - Khaki Cargo Pants with police marked Blue or Black T-Shirt, Vest and Police Ball-cap to match or any previous ranks outfit

  • Lieutenant - Black Cargo Pants with police marked Blue or Black T-Shirt, Vest and Police Ball-cap to match or any previous ranks outfit

  • Captain+ - Professional attire with badge or any previous ranks outfit, vest does not need to be worn except when needed (put it on as part of your outfit)

  • Hats & Vests must be worn at all times (unless indoors) except for Captain+

Selecting Your Vehicle

When selecting a patrol vehicle to drive, please follow the proper guidelines for your rank as shown below.
Guidelines:

  • Cadet - Officer II - Must be fully marked with a light-bar and white base coat

  • Sergeant+ - Can be slick-top (no light-bar), fully marked, partial marked or unmarked (as staffing allows) with white/blue/black/grey base coat. Lights must be equipped unless on special assignment where a vehicle is not part of our normal fleet

Remember to update Dispatch (F9) with your vehicle type

Most vehicles are listed below with what ranks are allowed to drive which vehicles. Command+ are able to drive specialized vehicles as staffing allows.

Processing Your 10-95

  1. Read the 10-95 their Miranda Rights

  2. Search the 10-95 before putting them in your car

  3. Call yourself 10-76 to the nearest and most logical Police Department location, then proceed Code-2 to that location

  4. Upon arrival, assist the 10-95 from your vehicle, then lock your vehicle

  5. Escort the 10-95 to the booking area

    1. Obtain the 95's ID

      1. If the 95 does not have an ID and you cannot verify their Identity, take them to the court house (City Hall) to obtain an ID.

    2. Fingerprint the individual, verify it matches their ID (enter the fingerprint data if blank).

    3. Take them to get a new or updated Mugshot if needed.

  6. Escort the 10-95 to an empty cell in the facility (Do not drag them unless they are being non-compliant).

  7. Search the 10-95 before putting them in the cell.

  8. Lock the cell door behind the 10-95.

  9. Ask the 10-95 to walk backwards towards the door and uncuff them.

  10. Start a new Report in your Police Tablet. Summarize the situation in the title, complete the template for the report (located in the next section).

  11. Submit the Report.

  12. Verify the 95 has an active Ankle Tracker through the G Menu.

  13. Use /bill ID Amount to asses fines accordingly.

  14. Return any Phones and Radios to the 95, ensure they don't have it out when jailing.

  15. Use /jail ID Amount to asses their sentence accordingly.

  16. Submit your Report.

  17. Go back into Service (10-8).

John and Jane walked up on Jolanda and held her at gunpoint, robbing her of her money and phone. An anonymous call was placed to dispatch to respond to the location for a robbery. Officer 123 arrived on scene and pointed his gun towards John and Jane, ordering them to drop their weapons, John turned around quickly aiming his gun towards the officer, at that time Officers 321 and 456 arrived and drew their weapons upon exiting their vehicles. Being in immediate danger Officer 123 discharged his firearm, hitting John with 1 round and resulting in John dropping his firearm. Officers 321 and 456 took control of Jane after ordering her to put her hands up. EMS was called to the scene to treat Johns bullet wound, however John refused medical care. John and Jane were then transported to Davis PD for processing.

Sentence: 30 months - $5,000

License plate of the vehicle was 88880O0O, which came back to a stolen Purple Dubsta.

Ending Your Shift

  1. Return to a Department Location

  2. Store your vehicle in the Police Garage

  3. Store equipment in the your personal locker (do not store items in your trunk)

  4. Hang up your uniform

  5. Clock out on the Timeclock System

  6. Go Off Duty at the clock in desk
