The writing is terrible, leaving the story merely okay, but its blatant lack of connection to the iconic Exorcist makes it feel like a missed opportunity. The movie is not suspenseful, it's not scary, it's not shocking, it's nothing that the original Exorcist is and doesn't even come close.
WILL THE EXORCIST: BELIEVER BE ON NETFLIX? No, The Exorcist: Believer will not be on Netflix — at least not any time soon. In the meantime, you'll just have to head out to a movie theater or wait for it to become available to stream on Peacock.
Violence is intense and includes young girls in peril, deaths, a woman being stabbed in the eyes, lots of blood, a head twisted around backward (resulting in a broken neck), scary demon faces, jump scares, unsettling/creepy moments, characters being hit or hurled across rooms, scratches on skin, mangled finger- and ...
The main thrust of The Exorcist: Believer is about the complicated relationship between widower Victor Fielding (Leslie Odom Jr.)and his daughter Angela (Lidya Jewett) who has become possessed. There is a whole other kid and family, though they are mostly a distraction that we'll get to later.
When can I watch The Exorcist: Believer? The Exorcist: Believer streams Dec 1, only on Peacock. Want more Horror? Check out Peacock's Horror Movies Collection.
Although it was just released in theaters at the beginning of October, the sixth installment in the “Exorcist” movie franchise is ready to stream. “The Exorcist: Believer” will arrive on Peacock on Dec.1. It's also available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime Video.
With that said, eagle-eyed viewers sticking around for the end credits have brought our attention to the story's hellish parasite, "Lamashtu," portrayed by Lize Johnston in heavy makeup and prosthetics during the exorcism sequence.
